VIRGIN BIRTH

In order to pay the debt of sin for mankind, Jesus had to be truly a man, born of a woman as a human being. The Bible tells us that it was the power of the Holy Spirit that caused Mary, who was a young virgin at the time, to become pregnant.Mary was engaged to be married to Joseph who actually became the stepfather for the child Jesus.

The tan figure for Jesus shows us his humanity. The white inlay shows us that Jesus had no sin nature and that he never chose to sin. The red heart shows us that Jesus was always filled with God's perfect love.

• Luke 1:30-32 "Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a sin, and shall call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest..." (KJV)
• Luke 1:35 "And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God." (KJV)
