• 1 Sam 28 : Abigail honorably served David saving him from taking personal vengeance. David humbly blessed Abigail for keeping him from murder.
• Rom 5:12 : We need to receive forgiveness (cleansing) or our sins via Jesus Christ who died so we may be right with God.
• Deut 10:12 : Fear God and love with all my heart. Keep a serving attitude. Wash my children's feet... so they may grow in understanding.
• Is 49:15 : God will bring new out of my loss.
• Personal mention : Focusing on self is bad. Think about serving to combat depression.
• Mark 4 : We sew seeds when people observe our actions and attitudes. e.g.. Bus driver in South Amer who wanted to go to church after driving these happy Christians around.
• 1 Cor 3 : follower of Paul or Apollos all equal in God's eyes on judgment day. All have to answer, "Do you have Christ?" Live by Jesus Christ's example.
