Welcome to the His Hands literacy project

We originally began this project with the goal to make a computer
program that would help all deaf people in the world to learn to read in their
host country langauge. Now, this goal has expanded to include all hearing people
as well.
The concept is to provide a free reading assist program
that shows a meaning picture, says the word
and shows the hand sign, word by word
for reading simple language primers. Volunteers will add language
specific primers, voice, signs and lexicon.
Hopefully this will assist people to -
- Learn to read their (Host country) langauge
- Learn to read a much needed local business language
- Learn to read international languages e.g. English
- Learn to understand sign langauge "spoken" by a family member
or neighbor
- Learn to understand sign language of another people group
